Civil War Voices at Gretna Theatre

Civil War Voices at Gretna Theatre

Civil War Voices tells the true stories of 5 real people who lived through the conflict, using the actual words the characters left behind in diaries, letters, and other writings.

I'm the Narrator to the piece (I hadn't worked with this much text since my one man show!), and perform as Joe Harris, an Alabama plantation owner during the Civil War, who was also a real life ancestor to the show's bookwriter, James R. Harris.

With gorgeous, all new arrangements of traditional melodies of the period by renowned composer Mark Hayes and sharp, insightful direction by my pal Dennis Courtney, this show made a relative, emotional impact on our audiences every night, and was an honor to perform.
